The recruitment poster points to a temporary campsite of the Foreststriders, a mercenary group active around the city of Helarum. They are known for being a close-knit group of fairly experienced sellswords, taking on all manner of jobs their group of veterans deem correct. Jobs are accepted by majority vote. When there is a disagreement about whether to take on a job or not, if there are enough people to complete the commission who are in favour, they can do it anyways, but have to take at least 1 person with them who voted against it, and they are then responsible for their safety. This discourages taking missions recklessly with disregard of their own safety, as they also need to be confident enough to provide for the safety of their comrade.

Eron arrives first to the campsite, where he is greeted by Luno.

> Luno: Are you here because you want to join the Foreststriders?
> Eron: Yes, I saw your recruitment notice, and am looking to hone my skills.
> Luno: Then we are in the same boat, I am also here because I want to make some money. I heard that the Foreststriders are pretty good, and they pay well if you get into the main group. What about you, you also looking to get paid?
> Eron: Sure, I also want to make some money, but mostly I want to become stronger so I can protect people who are dear to me.
> Luno: Are you sure you shouldn't rather join the knight order or the city guard?
> Eron: They might give me more formal training, I am looking for real combat experience.
> Luno: Well then, if my guess is correct we might be getting some of that pretty soon.
> Eron: What do you mean by that?

Luno walks away without any response

> Mira: Is this were the Foreststriders recruit their new members?

While he was talking to Luno, Mira and Kaeros walked up behind him.

> Eron: Looks like it, I was just asking the girl over there the same thing. Do you also want to join them?
> Mira: Only if they pay decently.
> Eron: Have you already been in a different group before? I wouldn't even know what mercenaries usually get paid
> Mira: .... No...
> Kaeros: ....
> Eron: ...
